FALL Pre-Season Camp for SWU Club Players

South West United is pleased to announce that our annual pre-season camp will take place on Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13 at the MTRS Fields - Ivor Dent Sports Park.

The camp will take place after tryouts to help our teams prepare for the upcoming indoor season. This year we welcome back Lee Merricks of Cosmo Soccer CA. Lee has 17 years of experience coaching football, including twelve years in the UK, Singapore, Dubai and Australia. He holds an UEFA 'A' Coaching Licence and Canadian National B Licence. He has worked at professional clubs in the UK, including Manchester United FC, where he coached youth and mentored coaches in their International Soccer Schools program. Coaching at Wigan Athletic FC, Blackburn Rovers FC, and Blackpool FC are also part of his impressive resume. We look forward to a successful camp.

Change of Technical Director - Girls Program

After serving our club for the past several years as Technical Director of the girls' program, Jorge Molina has made the decision to accept a transfer to the Vancouver area with his family. The club will miss Jorge’s enthusiasm and the energy he brought to the girls' program and wishes him the very best of success on the west coast.

Southwest United Sports Club is very pleased to announce that Tomasz Janas has accepted the role of Technical Director, SWU Girls. Tomasz brings to our club a wealth of amateur and professional experience as a coach and player. He has a passion for the beautiful game and a strong desire to teach and work with our young players. Tomasz has a strong affiliation with the club and wants to establish a vision and direction that will continue the work of Jorge Molina, and enhance what the club is doing for our teams. Passion, desire and commitment are key to this vision and Tomasz looks forward to working closely with our players and coaches.
