Professional Journey:
Mattia’s soccer journey began in Italy, where he played professional and semi-professional for clubs like US Latina. For two years, he continued his soccer pursuits in the United States, contributing to NCAA DII Salem University in West Virginia. His academic dedication led him to the UK, where he completed his Physical Education and Sports Coaching Science degree at the University of Worcester, focusing on soccer coaching.

Coaching Expertise:
Mattia’s coaching journey began in the USA, where he worked as a video analyst and Junior Varsity volunteer assistant coach at Salem University. Subsequently, Mattia moved to the UK, where he was a part of the Kidderminster Harriers Football Club coaching team, which is currently competing in the National League. He served as the U11 and U12 Assistant Coach in their Junior Academy. Mattia’s commitment extended to the community as the lead coach of the U8 WBA Malvern Player Development Academy for the Albion Foundation (West Bromwich Albion).

In 2022, Mattia moved to Canada, where he pursued his Master of Coaching at the University of Alberta. While he was completing his master’s degree, he became the Assistant Coach with the Golden Bears and Principal Coach at Green & Gold Academy. Mattia played a crucial role in Juventus Edmonton’s resurgence in Edmonton Youth Soccer as their Technical Director and U15 Boys Lead Coach. The past summer, he led the Zone 6 (Edmonton) Alberta Summer Games boys team to a Silver medal in Okotoks.

In addition to his degrees and extensive playing and coaching experience, Mattia is a UEFA-qualified Irish Football Association (IFA) coach.
