Great soccer teams often reflect the style and expertise of their coaches. At SWU, our young athletes have the benefit of incredible mentors who truly care. Our technical directors and coaches are the key to our ongoing success. They provide their services on a largely volunteer basis and commit countless hours to helping our athletes develop as players and as people. Our coaching staff also works hard to stay current with the latest strategies for developing young soccer players.
They continuously upgrade their skills through the National Coaches Certification program (NCCP), Canadian Soccer Association licensing and guest coach seminars. Five of our coaches have licensing at levels of Provincial B or higher. Many of them have decades of coaching and playing experience. More than that, they have a boundless love of the game. Our coaching volunteers are the reason SWU can offer kids a home to play soccer. Each of our coaches started somewhere and at SWU we offer you training and mentorship to kick start your coaching career.
