The SWU 2005B team is a highly motivated group of young athletes. As these young men develop within the framework of LTAD, and begin to test themselves, the coaches will continue to push the boys in a structured environment. We will work on the Four Pillars of Player Development...Tactical, Technical, Physical and Mental. The SWU 2005B team won the silver in the Red Deer Tier 1 Boys tournament recently, demonstrating their commitment to the beautiful game and their ability.
The vision for this team is to travel to extend these opportunities, both within Canada and outside. In the next year the team will travel to BC and to Seattle for tournament and training opportunities.
The team is led by three highly experienced coaches, MP Duxbury, Les Duxbury and Nick Culo. They have a tremendous amount of experience both as coaches and players from coaching youth soccer to college and playing at the college and national team level. We believe this blend of playing and coaching is crucial to developing young men.
