The 2013 teams have now progressed to the Developmental program and participate in league play. More complex technical and tactical skills are introduced, and SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) training is added to enhance soccer performance. Our main objective is the development of the athlete in terms of passing and controlling the ball with some defending training. We take the time to observe and coach individual players and see how and where they fit in the team. The team rotates players in various positions including the goalkeeper. All players get fair playing time. We are not focused on winning games but developing individual players. We follow the long term development plan set by Soccer Canada. We like to have fun while training and playing hard. SWU is currently looking for boys and girls born in 2013 to continue the next phase of their soccer journey.
